Abstract:

Publishing industry is in a transition period when traditional publishing and digital publishing are combining,
crossing and promoting with each other. Technical changes in publishing have led profound changes in publishing industry
in content, epitaxy, organization form, publishing process, and profit model. They have brought great challenges
and opportunities to the traditional publishing industry. Therefore, this paper, by using the input-output tables, studys
the extension of the chain and the formation of the new form of our country’s publishing industry from the view of demand
and supply among upstream and downstream industries. It thinks that the publishing industry extending to the manufacturin
g industry in the downstream helps not only to improve the competitiveness of China’ s manufacturing industry, but
also to expand the publishing industry demamd and to promote the development of publishing industry. And to set up a business
model which is consistent with carriers and channels is the key to promote the formation of a new form.
