Abstract:

In this paper, we analyze the scale status and the performance to enlarge the scale of the book pub
lishing enterprises in China. We estimate the impact factors for the total revenue of the Chinese book publishing in
dustry based on data from 2004 to 2006 including the top-ten book publishing enterprises in China. We find that assets
scale is the impact factor. However, the scale economy effect is not significant.
