Abstract:

This article takes as a sample which is a more famous magazine in Shanghai. Based on the analysis of
its location, editorial concept, content characteristics, distribution strategy and brand construction, the author considers
that the emergence of the independent magazine shows the contemporary value and freedom of an individual, and reflects
the struggles between commercializing monopoly and freedom of non-commercialization in the media field.
