[Abstract]　In order to have a clearer understanding of the research status， research hotspots， the latest research
trends and development trends of news publishing， this article uses“news publishing”as a search term， and
uses the literature of 21 years（1998—2018）in the field of news publishing in the Chinese Social Science Citation
Index（CSSCI）database as the data source， visual knowledge mapping with scientometrics software CiteSpace.
Main conclusions：（ 1）the number of literature publications is large each year， and there is less cooperation
between authors， and the research network in this field is relatively loose.（ 2）Research hotspots focus on the
press and publication industry， the press and publication powers， the well-off society， and the cultural industry.
（3）The research content forms five cluster centers ： legal system and moral construction， cultural construction，
party building， the background of the times， strategic goals and development planning and government functions.
（4）China’s news publishing has experienced four stages ： news publishing has just started， the system has
matured， the initial development of science and the management mechanism have been perfected. And in the
future， the research direction may shift to“ Internet， big data， cloud computing and artificial intelligence” .
