Abstract:

[Abstract]　Since Australia had access to Internet in 1989， it has been taking the lead in Internet content
regulation in the world. This paper made an in-depth study of the Internet content regulation in Australia from the
perspectives of the governments， industry associations and the regulation objects. On this basis， the characteristics
of Australia’s Internet content regulation was summarized. Combined with the status quo of China’s Internet
content regulation， it was suggested to improve the China’s Internet content regulation capabilities from
the aspects of promoting the coordination of multiple regulatory， optimizing Internet content legislation，
highlighting the role of technology， and strengthening the education of cyber security and Internet quality.
