Abstract:

Improper behaviors in citation of references are analyzed. Six kinds of improper behaviors are summarized,
such as seduced citation, deliberately omitting the relevant documents, citing from the secondary documents, deliberately
citing the irrelevant documents, adoring citation and misrepresentative citation. Suggestions on how to distinguish and
prevent these behaviors are also put forward.
