Abstract:

Clay Felker, a famous media people in America, once had been the editors or the publishers of Esquire,
Village Voice, Adweek and etc. Clay Felker stated the first magazine about the culture of a city- New York Magazine,
which makes an important contribution to the development of journalism and city culture of New York. The paper reviews
his lifetime and editorial philosophy. The paper also analyses the market position, special coverage, and the secret
weapon which made the magazine got popular at the beginning of the magazine, and researches his original editorial
philosophy as Clay had become a promoter to New Journalism.
