Abstract:

In the trend of globalization and informationization, with the influences of cultural development,
digital technology and social labour division, media editing is facing significant reformation. The great editing times is
coming. The ideas of great editing include five aspects: the stereoscopic editing functions, the webified resources,
the informative means, the integrated abilities, and the flexible processes. To adapt the development of the great editing
times, the media should improve the editing mechanisms, open the editing culture and rebuild the editing abilities.
