Abstract:

Chinese ancient pressing workshops on Sanshan Street of Nanjing had already focused on management
and competitive strategies of mass culture consciously in mid-late Ming Dynasty. In the way of the content, books
published by workshops mainly met the demands of common citizen class for passing their days in a leisurely way. The
management model of workshops was more advanced than other areas’ workshops in the same period, it succeeded in
making profits by more scale industrial aggregation and establishing their own features and management characteristics.
