Abstract:

ArXiv e-print archiving was the biggest one in the world and the forerunner and typical example of
Open Access Movement. This article analyzes the operation of arXiv in three aspects, i.e. its business, financial affairs
and influence. With the exploration, I hope it can provide some positive advice to the development of e-print archiving
in China.
