Abstract:

This paper takes the author’ s experience in participation in editing a serie of comic-strip type picture story
books named A Single Spark can Start a Prairie Fire as a case to expound his views on the roles of editor in a major publishing project. The author points out that the editor plays three roles: the communicator and coordinator of a variety of
relations, the person with team cooperation spirit, and the good student who is good at learning and is diligent in learning.
