Abstract:

Expounds the difficulties encountered during the operation of Sci-Tech periodicals’ digitalization,
namely having rare scale effects, suffering a low integration, lacking creative publishing modes and having not
adapted to the online publishing environment yet. In order to change the current situation, the following steps
must be taken to optimize the operating environment: to form strategic alliances among different Sci-Tech
periodicals to achieve clustering development, to facilitate resource integration, to strengthen the service
function of periodical websites and to employ the advantages of the priority of online publishing and its promotion
function to enlarge its readership.
