Abstract:

As a famous Confucian scholar in the early Qing dynasty, Gu Yanwu made fruitful achievements in literature
compilation. In this paper, authors summarized Gu Yanwu’ s main characteristics of literature compilation by investigating
into all his life and works. Focusing on and , they made a systemic study on Gu
Yanwu’s thoughts and methods of compiling historical documents.
