Abstract:

As regards to the low quality, lack of teaching function and weak research on editing of Chinese high
education textbooks, based on the survey on more than 40 textbooks about tourism geography, this paper compared and
generalized the present situation of the composition by text system, figure system and assignment system. Applying the
theories of education, psychology, curriculum and teaching methodology, and systematology, it analyzed the problem of
the textbook’s lack of teaching function and its reasons, and made a structure figure of the instructional function system
of textbooks. At last, it focused on the goal to strengthen the teaching function, and brought forth some ideas.
