Abstract:

In recent years, it is a great concern of the publishing field that the high-quality original textbooks should be introduced to offer more options for universities to choose from so as to integrate latest teaching materials into the curriculum to improve the quality of the higher education. With a successful introduction of a set of original English textbook as a case, this paper
states and shares the whole introducing process of the topic selection, adaptation, editing, and marketing. The paper concludes
that it is possible to introduce high-quality original textbooks to serve the teaching in higher education as long as all the steps are
designed properly.
