Abstract:

The questioning and answering of the origin of the Redactology is one of the cores of

the academic significance and value appeal of the research on its history of the discipline. According

to the existing documents and historical materials， the concept of“Redactology”in China can be

traced back to 1924. The first book of Redactology in China should be Experimental Redactology，

which appeared in 1926. The editor’s practical experience and method guide are content

orientation of this book，professional terms and research perspectives highlight its disciplinary

attributes， the breakthrough in writing style and the pioneering of breeding the initial disciplinary

consciousness reveal its historical significance and value. Although Experimental Redactology

is not an official publication， it is just a handout issued by the Correspondence Department of 

Shanghai News University， but from the perspective of the history of the discipline development，

it has become China’s first editorial work both in the dual sense of terms and substance.
