[Abstract] Woodcut enjoyed a long history in China，and mature art has been available since the Tang Dynasty.

the ancient Chinese Woodcuts started to attract the collectors’ attention since the Republic of China. Some

collectors have achieved a lot in collecting， sorting out and publishing the ancient Chinese Woodcuts with great

efforts，with Chen Dadeng， Wu Mei， Ma Yuqing， Wang Xiaoci， Zheng Zhenduo， Fu Xihua as represents. The

academic and publishing circles have paid more and more attention to the collection and publication of the ancient

Chinese woodcuts since the founding of PRC ， and especially after the Reform and Opening Up， therefore relevant

publications emergince， providing a wealth of information for the study of the history of Chinese art and literature.

This article would summarize the length of history.
