Abstract:

The article expounds the connotation of the social responsibility of the editor for science and technology periodical,
and discusses the responsibilities taken by the editor for science and technology periodical： political responsibility, the gatekeeping responsibility, the responsibility for propagating advanced culture, the responsibility for innovation， the responsibility
for discovering and training the science and technology personnel, the responsibility for realizing the social and economic benefits,
the responsibility for promoting international exchange and cooperation, and the responsibility for responding emergency. The
article also indicates that the editor for science and technology periodical should advance with the time, and have the courage
to take social responsibilities.
