Abstract:

[Abstract]  The 40 years of reform and opening-up has witnessed the rapid development of publishing
higher education in china. This paper summarizes the history of publishing higher education in Wuhan
University, which has evolved from an undergraduate program of“Book Distribution Management" to a
multi-level professional education and training system including undergraduate students, master students,
Ph.D candidates, postgraduate researchers and non-academic trainees; then it studies Wuhan University' s
publishing major-setting and major-positioning, construction of teaching staff, curriculum and teaching
activities, textbooks and scientific research, international exchange and cooperation and their relationship with
the specialty' s development.
