Abstract:

Many links in the work of academic editors contain the activities of understanding of editors, such
as reviewing articles, reading the review opinions of specialists, etc. The view of understanding contained in
Gadamer’s philosophical hermeneutics has a guiding significance for us in the editing profession. The smooth
proceeding of the editors’understanding activities is embodied in the editors’ability to carry on the dialogue
with scholars (including the author and reviewing experts, etc.) in the true sense, and realize the harmony of
the various aspects in the implementation of editing business.
