Abstract:

In the system of academic journals evaluation, the impact factor is the most important indicators. So the quotation data, as the determinant of impact factor have been chased by editors. In order to verify the quotation data,the paper investigates the quotation description of Chinese journals citations in six social sciences academic journals from CSSCI. According to the survey, their error rate is as high as 25.6%, the highest is 39.3%. The causes of the problems include blundering style of scientific research of the writers, attitude of the academic journals editors and the man made quotation data. Among them, in which the blundering style of scientific research of the writers is the main reason. The evaluation of quotation should come back its original position, so the good academic environment should be established.
