Abstract:

The Eastern Miscellany is famous for its culture reputation, and also was the most longevous magazine in modern China. The article focuses on exploring the reason of its longevity genes. At first, it points out that the magazine is in the nature of stability moulded by several editors, the continuity of the magazine was the model in the Republic of China, which was due to historical inertia, and the theoretic cognition of editors’. At last, it reveals the reason for its longevity is that the magazine insists providing modern common sense to the readers, which helps them get better development as a modern person.
