Abstract:

Based on the constructed input-output table of cultural industries in Henan province, economic
benefit of news and publishing industry, overall and net backward effect of investment to news and publishing
industry are calculated via input-output analysis method. The research results show that the news and
publishing industry has rather bigger direct economic benefit and forward entire economic benefit and social
average level backward entire economic benefit; backward effect of investment to the news and publishing
industry on itself is the biggest amongst all. Apart from itself, the three sectors most influenced by investment
to it are auxiliary production sector of producing cultural product, hotels and catering services, transportation,
warehousing and postal service; investment to it has great influence on total output increment of non-cultural
paper, education and sports goods.
