Abstract:

It is necessary to clarify the functions of the annotations to improve the quality of academic paper notes. Academic paper notes have three major functions, explanation, putting to the proof, and stating reasons. Explanation can clear up doubts, putting to the proof can improve academic reliability, and stating reasons can enhance the depth of the paper.There are lots of problems existing in the annotations.Commentators should enhance problem consciousness, reader consciousness, academic consciousness, and make the annotations become necessary, appropriate, acceptable to an academic paper.
