Abstract:

Chinese traditional culture of five thousand years is to learn from the source to modern book
designers， traditional culture divided into phenotype traditional culture and stealth traditional culture，
phenotype traditional culture influence on the surface morphology in the design of book covers， stealth
traditional culture influence on inner spirit in the design of book covers . This paper explores the influence of
the traditional culture on book cover design from two aspects， helping designers to design more excellent
works according to the modern social demand and improving people’s aesthetic level and cultural taste.
